Oddo Design has been offering WordPress support & maintenance services for years. Eventually, I expanded and rebranded these services— now called WPSimplifyd. Here a few tips about proper WordPress maintenance and a few notes about WPSimplifyd’s new plans.
What are WordPress Support & Maintenance Services?
Many small businesses launch their WordPress website without realizing it needs to be maintained— until it goes down or becomes infected with malware. This can be a costly, time-consuming mistake.
To help avoid such an ordeal, WordPress, themes, and/or your plugins should be updated at least every 20 or 30 days. You’ll also need daily, malware-scanned backups— stored offsite, with the ability to quickly restore the site, in case of an emergency.
But for most small businesses, a do-it-yourself approach is problematic.
You see, your software updates should be tested in a test environment first— not on the live site! That’s because a single plugin update can cause your entire site to go down. Knowing what to do when this happens is another matter. In addition, managing offsite backups, let alone hardening and monitoring your website to protect it against malware, is easier said than done.
Furthermore, just knowing that a WordPress pro is a click or phone call away, will put your mind at ease and allow you to focus on what you do best. This is why the previous version of WordPress support & maintenance services by Oddo Design have proven to be popular among clients.
