About Oddo Design
Oddo Design is an award-winning graphic design firm that helps companies build stronger brands, increase sales, improve customer retention, and educate customers and employees. Now located in the Texas Hill Country, just outside of Austin, Texas, the firm was originally established in 1989, in Houston, by Tommy Oddo.
The firm creates web-centric, brand-building experiences that typically involve the design of corporate identities, web sites, flash demos, email campaigns, rich-media ad banners, and printed marketing collateral— all of which inform and engage target audiences, and “de-commoditize" (i.e., differentiate) products and services.
Beginning in 1995, Oddo Design designed the first public web sites for Houston Lighting & Power, Kent Electronics, and Weingarten Realty, and shortly thereafter, the firm's pioneering work was featured in the book "Shockwave Studio: Designing Multimedia for the Web" (published by O'Reilly). Oddo Design's work has also been featured in Print's Regional Design Annuals, and was recognized for excellence by AIGA, Dallas Society of Visual Communications, Houston Art Director's Club, and others.

Process
Oddo Design puts first things first, by beginning each project with a clear understanding of what you wish to accomplish.
At Oddo Design, most projects are divided into 4 phases...
Phase I: Discovery
During this phase, an informal interview is conducted to identify your objectives and to better understand the company, product(s) and/or service(s) that will be marketed or created. Requirements are also gathered for the purpose of creating and providing you with a preliminary cost estimate and timeline for your project.
Phase II: Ideation
Next, a competitive analysis is typically performed; user personas are defined; a site map is created; several possible themes are visualized, and the best of these concepts are slightly refined and presented to you, so that we may determine which "blueprint" is most appropriate for your organization and targeted audience.
Phase III: Design
Once a concept has been selected, the primary focus (creatively speaking) shifts to aesthetics. A prototype or "comp" is created and presented for another round of client approvals. On some projects, usability testing may also be conducted at the end of this phase.
Phase IV: Production
By now, the look, feel and functionality have been clearly defined and the final creation of all content (text, graphics, animation, etc.) and coding are well under way. Ideally, a system for gathering and analyzing your marketing metrics is in place so that performance can be measured and optimized on an ongoing basis.
