WhyWebsitesFail [#2]: The Presentation of Products and/or Services is Unappealing

Poorly composed text, photography, and graphics can make a great product or service look awful (and sometimes, just the opposite is true).

Are you too close to your own products and services to see what your prospects are seeing? Does your text focus primarily on features, and not on benefits? Are you scaring visitors away with questionable claims or exaggerated statements? Is the length of the text as short as possible, and is it easy to read?

Is the photography poorly shot (poorly composed, poorly lit, poorly cropped, fuzzy in appearance, etc.)? Does your website make you look like a “fly-by-night” company that could go out of business tomorrow?

While these issues may be difficult for the average person to detect, they do make a difference, and the results are measurable.
